P5-6 Trip to Drum Manor
What an amazing day P5-6 had on Tuesday 18th November 2025! Our pupils explored the beautiful Drum Manor Forest Park as part of our World Around Us topic on 'Treemendous Trees' and learned so much about nature. We discovered native Irish trees, measured their heights using special instruments, and even tried our hand at estimating like real scientists!
We talked about the life cycle of trees, built cosy hedgehog houses, and spotted wildlife – including some cheeky squirrels 🐿️.
It was a day full of learning, laughter, and teamwork. Nature really is the best classroom! 🍂 We would like to thank Lynn, our wonderful forest ranger for facilitating the visit and sharing her expertise. #ForestryN.I. #outdoorlearning
